INSTRUCTOR PROFILE

SKIP NEVELL
Assistant Instructor

Skip Nevell has been an avid devotee of cycling for over 50 years as a racer, tourist and keen recreational cyclist. He began his racing career in the late 1950’s and has competed on the road and the track. He still races in National Senior Games competition.

He has spent thousands of hours on the city streets, highways and mountain roads of Southern California. He has toured by bike extensively in Mexico, France, Italy and Switzerland. He has ridden on many of the major climbs featured in the Tour de France.

Skip understands cycling from the most basic techniques to the nuances of pack riding and racing. He has an excellent working knowledge of bicycles, their components and maintenance. Having experienced the ups and downs of the sport, he is especially focused on the safe operation of bicycles in all the various environments cyclists encounter.

His goal at RBBC is to help enable budding riders to safely experience the joys of cycling.
